Doggy parkour, sometimes known as urban agility, is an activity where you and your dog move through the environment and conquer obstacles in your path. It is a challenging, but fun, physical activity in which dogs learn to interact with their environment in new and novel ways. Just like in the human version, in dog parkour we work on ways to conquer obstacles, such as climbing, balancing, and jumping. In our introduction workshop we will teach you the foundation parkour behaviours as well as how to keep your dog safe whilst exploring the world around you together.
Real Dog Yoga
This workshop is the ultimate in teaching your dog how to relax and use their body to achieve calm focus. Using the principles of Real Dog Yoga developed by Jo-Rosie Haffenden we will work through a series of base positions and postures aimed to reduce stress, improve body awareness and muscle control and increase relaxation. Postures are chosen to reflect the individual aims of the dogs who attend the workshop. Dogs will learn how to actively select when to train and how to take a break, resulting in a better learning experience for dog and owner alike.
Dogs who normally struggle and become over excited or frustrated during training learn how to better regulate their emotions and behaviour as a result of the protocols used. The difference in the dogs over a short period of time is often staggering!
Paws on Boards
Are you looking for a new sport to try with your dog? Dog surfing is an exciting sport which is relatively new to the UK and we are the UK's first dog surfing school! Over the workshop you will learn how to introduce your dog to a surfboard safely with their welfare being top priority. You will learn how to build their confidence on dry land and help to develop their balance before taking to the waves. You will have a chance to learn all about dog body language and what your dog is trying to communicate so that you can understand when to keep training and when your dog is asking you for a break. We will also teach you about surf safety and how to look after yourself and your best friend whilst out in the sea.
Have you ever wished you had an extra pair of paws to help around the home? Have you ever wondered how assistance dogs are trained to enthusiastically undertake tasks to help their owners in their daily lives?
This fun and informative workshop teaches you how train a variety of helper dog behaviours and take home a superdog in the making! You will learn how to teach the 5 'super skills' which are the essential building blocks for many assistance behaviours. We'll then teach you how to use these to build a variety of complex behaviours and give you plenty of ideas of things to work on after the workshop too!We will also teach you how to introduce environmental and contextual cues for the tasks - such as an alarm, phone ringing or dropping an object.
Get ready to turn your clever canine into a budding Superdog!

The Man Hunt is a new sport from the World Scent Dog Association and requires you and your dog to become a crime fighting team, competing at various levels to solve mysteries. During these introductory workshops we will introduce you and your dog to active and passive searches. In an active search your dog will be searching for catnip scented articles and retrieving them to you. For a passive search, the target odour is initially Kong pieces and you will learn how to teach your dog to freeze as close as possible to the source of the odour.
Can you become a scentwork dream team?
“We loved it! My rescue dog has never been in this kind of environment and he loved it, picked everything up really quickly and is now fast asleep! Bring on next week!”
